Kristen Seseske -Charter Oak State College

Kristen currently works an Occupational Therapist and a Certified Hand Therapist at Yale-New Haven Health in Connecticut. In 2019 Kristen was offered an opportunity to join and co-chair an Epic optimization committee for her health system.  She quickly realized she found satisfaction and joy in helping clinicians improve their efficiency in documenting within their EHR.  After over 20 years of direct patient care, Kristen was ready for a new professional challenge.  She researched degrees that would best blend her love of patient care with her new interest in developing EHRs to better serve both clinicians as well as patients.  In the spring of 2022 Kristen enrolled in Charter Oak State College’s Health Informatics master’s degree program.  Kristen finds the course content both interesting and challenging as she is new to the technological side of healthcare.  Following graduation, Kristen plans to apply for positions that will allow her to use her experience as a clinician as well as her new knowledge in health informatics.
